Big Hand Productions is a well established community music and multi media organisation run by Matthew Hogg and Alan Jones with five years experience of devising and delivering educational courses in a wide variety of settings to a wide range of people of all ages and backgrounds. At the core of Big Hand Productions is the development of an artistic policy to promote and facilitate new artistic and creative opportunities for the wider community.
Music Projects
Big Hand Productions aim is to develop new community,
educational and vibrant music projects. We aim to do trhis by
producing and delivering programmes using new, exciting and
innovative methods. We are experienced in delivering a broad
range of projects and can manage and produce short workshops
or long term programmes of delivery.
Multimedia Projects
Big Hand Productions delivers a variety of multi media programmes
including film using iMovie and Final Cut Pro, titles creation using
Photoshop and Motion, DVD creation using iDVD and DVD Studio Pro.
Projects and workshops designed to fit the participants needs is a
specialist area of Big Hand Productions’ work
Consultation
Big Hand Productions has a proven track record of delivering consultation events with young people using innovative and effective methods. Filmed evaluation and monitoring of projects on to DVD is part of our specialist work

Big Hand and Access Rock
Big Hand will be starting a new series of Access Rock sessions for young musicians starting on April 23rd. The sessions run from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm and run every Tuesday at Kingston Youth Centre. As well as meeting like minded young musicians participants can receive tuition in melody and composition, recording techniques and performance skills as well as instrument tuition.
Songwriting at The Chill Out Project
Big Hand Productions will be running sessions at the Chill Out Project on North Hull Estate starting on April 23rd. The sessions will cover all aspects of songwriting such as melody and composition and lyric writing.
Big Hand 'Changes Lives' with Music 4U
Big Hand has recently produced a half hour documentary film called 'Changing Lives' on DVD promoting the work of Music 4U, the Humber Region Youth Music Action Zone.
Big Hand make a 'Creative Choice'
Big Hand Productions will be delivering a new project called 'Creative Choice' in partnership with City Arts, Creative Partnerships and Radio Active. The project will run from March to July. Participants will learn about the Creative Industries and will attend workshops in which they will use film, sound design, composition, marketing skills etc.
